These NGWSD events celebrate girls in sports while also opening doors and introducing participants to collegiate environments, connecting them with female mentors, and reinforcing that they belong in these spaces. Through these partnerships, we aim to inspire confidence, spark ambition, and remind girls that their dreams are valid and achievable. Learn more about our NGWSD initiatives > Sports: From a Personal Perspective Sports have played a significant role in my own life. Not just in shaping who I was as an athlete, but in shaping who I became as a person. I’ve experienced firsthand the lessons that come from showing up, pushing through doubt, leaning on teammates as well as community, and learning from both wins and setbacks. My personal experiences are a big part of why this work matters so deeply to me. Athletics can be a powerful framework but only when young girls are given the right support, role models, and tools to navigate the pressures that come with it. Building Strong Girls, Together At Strong Girls United, we exist to support, uplift, and empower girls and young women. Our mission is simple but powerful: to help girls build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging that lasts far beyond sports. Who We Are & What We Do We are a community-driven organization dedicated to creating spaces where girls feel seen, supported, and capable of becoming their strongest selves. Through thoughtfully designed events and programs, we focus on developing the whole person. Prioritizing Strong Bodies, Kind Hearts and Unstoppable Minds. Our Model: What makes our work unique: Mentorship from female role models who have walked similar paths Mental skills development to support confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being This model comes to life through programs and community events that emphasize connection. We build environments where girls can form meaningful relationships, feel a sense of belonging, and realize they are not alone in their journey.
