SportsEngine And NBC Sports Bring Sunday Night Football Bus To Local High School

SportsEngine Inc., an NBC Sports Group company and the leading youth sports technology provider, announced today that Boston Latin School is the winner of SportsEngine’s Comin’ Home Sweepstakes, which features a visit by the NBC Sunday Night Football bus at their hometown football game. As part of SportsEngine’s initiative to support youth sports participation, the sweepstakes celebrates hometown football with a unique opportunity to recognize a local team.

The SNF bus is set to visit Boston Latin School on Saturday, October 13 at West Roxbury High School for its game against Nantucket High School. The winning team members along with the student body, administration and staff will have the opportunity to be on campus during the bus visit and tour the bus before and after the game. SportsEngine, NBC Sports Boston, and NBC10 Boston will all be in attendance covering the event and providing giveaways including a pair of tickets to Patriots-Chiefs.

“Boston Latin School is extremely excited to have the Sunday Night Football bus, NBC Sports, and SportsEngine at our game,” said Jack Owens, Boston Latin Leven Director of Athletics, “The BLS athletic department is always looking for unique ways to engage the whole community at sporting events and this will definitely achieve that goal. We are excited to have Nantucket High School coming to play us. We’ve never competed against them in any sport and we are gracious as they are traveling a long way, by land and sea. As the first public school in the United States, it is difficult to make history but this is certainly the first time in school history that our students have been able to experience something like this.”

Since Week 1, the SNF bus has traveled across the country, making stops in the host cities of Sunday Night Football games, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look into the action of SNF broadcasts. New features on board this season include a Carrie Underwood SNF Open experience, a selfie-mirror presented by @OnHerTurf – a partnership between Refinery29 and NBC Sports that shares in the celebration and amplification of women in sports – and an area showcasing SNF’s new initiative with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The bus also includes a life-size player wall, the official Player of the Game Ball signed at the end of every SNF matchup, and the replica of the Football Night in America desk. The bus continues its journey this week making stops in the Houston-area ahead of the Sunday Night Football game as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Houston Texans.

“We are excited to share the Sunday Night Football bus experience with Boston Latin and Nantucket High,” stated Rob Bedeaux, Senior Manager Consumer Engagement, SportsEngine. “At SportsEngine we’re committed to recognizing and celebrating the coaches, teams, and schools who give every kid a chance to get out and play.”
